Domino concept and interpretation contract
domino.concepts.v1
Help people see the people they care about more often, doing things they enjoy, with less remembering, searching and coordination.
Friend in Mind
A private planning reference to someone the owner has in mind.
Use the relationship classification. Creating this record sends nothing and establishes neither the other person’s account status nor their preferences. After a disconnection, a retained reference may also have this classification.
Example: You have Dana in mind for walks. Dana’s interest is unknown.
Connected Friend
A person with a current reciprocal Domino connection to the owner.
Use the current authorized relationship. Connection permits specific sharing, including retained Likes explicitly directed to this person. Each calendar source has separate planning permissions.
Example: Dana can see your retained Like for her. Check her authorized calendar coverage before suggesting a time as mutually free.
Idea
An outing can originate with Domino or the user and can refer to a place, a particular event occurrence, or a general idea.
Track origin, subject, and saved state separately. A saved venue does not imply interest in every performance there.
Example: A restaurant from a user’s article is user-originated even after Domino matches the venue.
Like
One person explicitly saves a subject, optionally with activities and distinct sets of intended companions.
Read the current Like. Keep each audience together with its activities. An empty audience means a private save. A group containing Dana qualifies for browsing with Dana while retaining the entire group. Omitted details or unknown activities require a qualified answer.
Example: Dinner saved for Dana and Lee together is one group intention. A coffee proposed with Dana is a different suggestion.
Mutual interest
The current authorized records show reciprocal interest between two people in the same subject.
Use the returned pairwise match. An incoming Like is the other person’s signal. Only claim the same activity if both recorded it. Recheck current visibility on later reads.
Example: Two people privately saving the same venue is insufficient evidence of a shared pick.
Saved view
An Ideas List is a reusable browsing view with people, filters and directions.
Attribute the source to the view. A view name, selected companion, or inherited default is browsing context. Read Like intentions for claims about who saved a result. A preserved hand-picked selection has separate membership.
Example: The Dana view can suggest a place you previously saved for someone else.
Recommendation
A proposed outing based on inventory, relevant signals and the current request.
Use people-scoped Likes for saved claims and discovery results for additional suggestions. Keep the author, audience and original activity separate from the proposed companions and activity. Give plausible new ideas even when there are no relevant Likes.
Example: You can suggest a museum to Dana without saying she endorsed it.
Availability
A time assessment concerns identified people, sources and an interval.
Use the returned coverage, freshness and status for each person. Unknown or partial coverage cannot establish the group is free. A venue’s opening hours, ticket availability and calendar fit are independent.
Example: You look free Tuesday. Dana’s availability is unknown.
Plan
A private draft records a proposed gathering. A Plan’s current state describes what has happened.
Use the persisted Plan and its selected time and invitees. Preparing an action, creating a link, delivering an invitation and receiving an RSVP are separate events.
Example: An invitation link is ready to share once created. Delivery requires its own evidence.
Invitation and RSVP
An invitation addresses a recipient. An RSVP records that recipient’s answer.
Check the invitation, recipient and current response. Only a confirmed action establishes its effect. A draft, calendar opening or mutual Like cannot establish acceptance.
Example: Dana received an invitation and has not yet responded.
Evidence and uncertainty
An expressed intention, a stored fact, a browsing default and a judgment of fit each support different claims.
Use evidence for the specific subject, actor, audience, activity and time. Distinguish confirmed absence, incomplete coverage, omitted detail and inapplicable fields. Agent access and user authority come from the current connection and action.
Example: A first page without a matching Like leaves later pages unknown.
